NEXIM to South South investment sensitisation
Delta Government in collaboration with the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) would hosting the 2020 NEXIM South-South Enlightenment and Engagement Forum from Jan. 28 to Jan. 30, in Asaba.
The Director-General, Delta Investments Development Agency (DIDA), Olorogun Lucky Oghene-Omoru disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Asaba.
He said the forum had as its theme, “Maximizing Export Potentials in the South – South Region for Economic Growth”.
According to him, Government and good people of Delta State heartily welcome foreign and local investors and stakeholders to this event that is geared toward exposing investors to grow their investments in the export sector.
He stated that DIDA would continue to diligently pursue their mandate of facilitating and promoting both local and foreign investments in tandem with the SMART Agenda of the Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa led administration.
“We are using the opportunity of this unique hosting, to expose investors to the various investments opportunities in oil and gas, agriculture, aquaculture, solid minerals, energy, housing, transportation (road, air and sea port).
“Also in education, healthcare, tourism and policies which enhance ease of doing business in the state that have made Delta the Preferred Investors haven.
“DIDA has as its mandated to promote, develop and regulate investments and all concessions by leveraging on the comparative advantage of the state to accelerate investment inflow and diversify the economy away from dependence on oil revenues’’, Oghene-Omoru, said.
He encouraged both the local investors and other stakeholders to be part of the programme.
