The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), says it is collaborating with other revenue generating agencies to enhance revenue collection for the Federation Account.
A statement signed by Mr Chris Nwachukwu, RMAFC spokesman, quoted Mr Maagbe Adaa, the Chairman of the Inland Revenue Committee of the Commission, as stating in Abuja.
It said that Adaa, who spoke at a stakeholders’ meeting, declared that it was imperative to strengthen cordial relationship with stakeholders, while enhancing techniques on the monitoring of accruals and disbursement of revenue for Federation Account.
He further said that enhancing accruals to the Federal Account would make it possible for President Mohammadu Buhari to achieve his promise to empower 100 million Nigerians in the next four years.
“The meeting was meant to bring the stakeholders together in order to collaborate in areas of revenue generation and collection.
“The meeting emphasised the need for collective efforts, reachable data and information that will help government to make informed decisions toward increases revenue yields,” the statement said.
