Namibia to set up vehicle assembly plant

Namibia has taken major steps to spur foreign direct investment beginning with the establishment of first-ever vehicle assembly plant.
President Hage Geingob reaffirmed his commitment at a time when Namibia still faces challenges of poverty eradication and employment creation.
The South Africa wants the Namibian government to explain the multi-million dollar Peugeot assembly plant deal to make sure it does not breach the Southern African Customs Union – an international union which allows tariff-free trade between member nations.
