Dangote Group has reported that its “Bag of Goodies National Consumer Promo 2019’’, ran by its subsidiary, Dangote Cement, has succeeded in transforming many lives.

Mr Anthony Chiejina, Group Head, Corporate Communications, Dangote Group, made the assertion in a statement released in Lagos on the update on Season 1 of the promo.

Chiejina said that the beneficiaries were contacted via telephone, against the backdrop of another season of the promo scheduled to take-off later this month, and that they reported being impacted by the promo from last year.

The 2019 beneficiaries were 40 and were each presented with brand new saloon cars.

Chiejina said: “They lauded the sincerity of Dangote in handing over the cars to them and urged Nigerians to participate in the Season 2 promo.

“They insisted that the 2019 consumer promo was credible, real and a life-changing experience, and have expressed willingness to actively participate in the new Bag of Goodies 2020 Season 2 promo.

“Under the new promo tagged Dangote Bag of Goodies Season 2, 1,000 Nigerians are expected to win a star prize of one million naira each over the promo period of 16 weeks.

“Other available prizes up for grabs are tricycles, refrigerators, television sets, generators, Goodies packs, smaller monetary prizes and airtime,” he said.

The statement also quoted one Mr Benjamin Igherighe, a Dangote Cement retailer, and first star car prize winner in Season 1 promo, based in Abraka, Delta State, as urging public to take advantage of the promotion.

Igherigbe reportedly said that it was  an opportunity for Nigerians to undertake their building projects and also stand a chance to win prices.

“After my win, as I drive around, people stop me on the road to make inquiries about cement supply and then place orders. It has become a marketing tool which attracts attention and increased sales for me.

“The branded car has made me an ambassador of Dangote Cement and I keep telling people that the company stands for quality, durability and trust,” he added.

Another beneficiary, according to the statement, 64-year-old Bricklayer, Mr Iyowun Ezekiel from Ijebu-Ode in Ogun, thanked Aliko Dangote for the opportunities given to Nigerians to elevate their businesses.
