China’s raw coal output drops in September  

China’s raw coal output dropped to 0.9 per cent year on year to 330 million tons last month.  

According to the National Bureau of Statistics data on Monday, September output represented 1.8 per cent decrease compared with the same period in 2019.  

The country imported 32.88 million tons of coal in September, up 76 per cent year on year.  

It said that from January to September, China produced 2.93 billion tons of raw coal, up 3.7 per cent year on year or 3.6 per cent from the same period in 2019.  

In the past nine months, China imported 230.4 million tons of coal, down 3.6 per cent year on year.
