The outbreak of Coronavirus in some parts of the world has caused Nigeria’s business moguls to shelf trips to China, Italy and other parts of the world for businesses.

“Our business is not moving because we believe that any time a country is facing any epidemic, people are not allowed to visit the country nor are those in the country allowed to move out. This is to prevent the spread of the disease.
“Most of our business is with China and Dubai (United Arab Emirates), and we make more profits in China but because of this disease, we have stop visiting China so that we don’t go and bring back the disease to our African families and countries,’’ he said.
According to him his business in China has come to a standstill and this has really slowed down the business.

He said the last option they have now is to Go back and intensify prayers to Almighty Allah to bring lasting solutions to the problems of these epidemics bedeviling the world..
He called on Government to make it a priority and ensure that it protects the country and prevent Coronavirus from spreading across the country by adopting stringent measures.
“The government should ensure that those who travelled out and are returning to the country should be properly scrutinized and certified safe before leaving their points of entry to the country,’’ he added.
The National Public Relation officers of Northern Nigeria marketers, Alhaji Mohammed DanAuta, said the disease has had an adverse effect on their business because out of all African countries, no country does more business with China than Nigeria.
So the outbreak of coronavirus has really affected us because most business men are afraid of going to China and those from China are not allowed to visit other countries.
“According to our religion, Islam, it prohibit any body to go into any country that has an outbreak of any disease and any person that belong to the country is also not allowed to go outside so as to avoid the spread of the disease. So this has really affected the economy growth.
“Even big Nigeria business entrepreneurs that engaged in businesses with China are afraid of going there to import good some of them have also increase the prices of their goods due to its shortage in the market,’’ DanAuta said.
Malam Ibrahim Abdullahi, another business man, who sells phone accessories in Abubakar Gumi market in Kaduna said he has gone out of stock and that most of the goods are normally imported from China, so as a result of this Coronavirus we can no longer go to the market and bring the goods.
