The 124.5-hectare area is<br \/>\ndesignated for the manufacture of green technologies and related<br \/>\nservices including wind and solar power technologies, alternative<br \/>\n                                                        waste<br \/>\nmanagement, energy efficient technology, alternative building materials<br \/>\nand many other clean technologies.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nFollowing years of hard work and preparation by all spheres of<br \/>\ngovernment, the cabinet has given the go-ahead for the designation of<br \/>\nthe Atlantis Special Economic Zone (SEZ).<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe 124.5-hectare area<br \/>\nis designated for the manufacture of green technologies and related<br \/>\nservices including wind and solar power technologies, alternative waste<br \/>\nmanagement, energy efficient technology, alternative building materials<br \/>\nand many other clean technologies.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nMinister<br \/>\n of Trade and Industry, Rob Davies confirmed the designation of the SEZ<br \/>\nand the approval of cabinet in writing to MEC of Economic Opportunities<br \/>\nin Western Cape Minister Alan Winde.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nSpeaking to John Maytham, Winde said this was the process that everyone has been waiting for.<\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nAll the work that has been done over the last while goes to the<br \/>\nspecial economic zones, the advisory board to then have to be looking at<br \/>\n that work taking into account the effect it would have in South Africa<br \/>\nfor the economy.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\u2014 Alan Winde, MEC of Economic Opportunities in Western Cape<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"blockquote\">\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nFor us its a really exciting step in the process because now we have<br \/>\nbeen given that run for designation.
