{"id":52356,"date":"2023-08-20T06:47:21","date_gmt":"2023-08-20T06:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=52356"},"modified":"2023-08-20T06:47:28","modified_gmt":"2023-08-20T06:47:28","slug":"petroleum-ministrys-directors-sign-performance-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/petroleum-ministrys-directors-sign-performance-contract\/","title":{"rendered":"Petroleum ministry\u2019s directors sign performance contract"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Abuja, Aug. 20, 2023: Mr Gabriel Aduda, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources has signed Performance Contracts (PC) with the ministry\u2019s directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contract is aimed at enhancing accountability and advancement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aduda, in a statement, on Saturday, signed by Mr Chris Ugwuegbulam, Assistant Director (Information) of the ministry urged the directors to diligently fulfil their obligations under the contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This step advances the implementation of the Performance Management System (PMS) within the ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PC is a formal agreement outlining responsibilities and targets between the supervisor and supervisee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its purpose is to enhance career advancement, accountability, results, and a performance-oriented culture within the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The permanent secretary emphasised that the process would establish a framework for effective performance reporting, feedback, monitoring and evaluation of departmental expectations and deliverables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He encouraged the directors to extend the approach to their divisional heads and individual staff for heightened accountability and improved service delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aduda also highlighted the ministry\u2019s ongoing efforts to fully digitise and automate work processes, reducing paperwork and enhancing workflow, as outlined in the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan FCSSIP 2021-2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs Adaji Shehu, Director of Human Resources Management of the ministry, expressed gratitude to the Permanent Secretary for his commitment to institutionalising the New Performance Management System in the Ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The signing ceremony had witnesses from the Ministry\u2019s Performance Management System Champions and other staff.<\/p>\n\n\n<!-- wp:themify-builder\/canvas \/-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abuja, Aug. 20, 2023: Mr Gabriel Aduda, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources has signed Performance Contracts (PC) with the ministry\u2019s directors.
