{"id":48293,"date":"2023-02-04T03:13:47","date_gmt":"2023-02-04T03:13:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=48293"},"modified":"2023-02-04T03:13:53","modified_gmt":"2023-02-04T03:13:53","slug":"we-have-no-petrol-to-sell-ipman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/we-have-no-petrol-to-sell-ipman\/","title":{"rendered":"We have no petrol to sell &#8211; IPMAN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has said that the prevailing shortage in the supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in the Southeast may not end soon as due challenges marketers are facing in procuring products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Chinedu Anyaso, chairman of IPMAN, Enugu Depot Community in charge of Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu States said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Awka on Friday reports that petrol now sells between N400 and N450 per litre and between N500 and N600 in the black market depending on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most filling stations are closed for lack of petrol while a few that are selling are doing so at a very high price with long queues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyaso said the quantity of products entering into the Southeast had reduced by more than 50 percent compared with what they got in normal time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said at the moment, nothing suggested the easing of the problems as some of them were yet to get supplies they paid for over a month ago unless the federal government effected a drastic action to flood the country with products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur members who got NNPC allocation last year paid for products since December, up till now they have not received their supply, rather, they asked them to pay for additional money for which most of them made overdraft of between N1.4 million and N1.6 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs you can see most filling stations in the zone have shut down because they can no longer source products normally, those that have pay through their nose to get it that is why they ar abnormal rates because they have to recover their cost and make some products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is impossible for the authorities to enforce price now because they are supplying products, our people are making extra effort to ensure our people have products to buy even if it is expensive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyaso said in addition to the hardship the people were facing as a result of scarcity and high prices, thousands of outlets\u2019 stand to lose their job if it persists as no marketer would continue to pay workers when they were not in business.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-48293\" data-postid=\"48293\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-48293 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has said that the prevailing shortage in the supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in the Southeast may not end soon as due challenges marketers are facing in procuring products.
