{"id":46059,"date":"2022-10-20T02:16:24","date_gmt":"2022-10-20T02:16:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=46059"},"modified":"2022-10-20T02:16:30","modified_gmt":"2022-10-20T02:16:30","slug":"tcn-installs-150mva-transformer-in-ughelli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/tcn-installs-150mva-transformer-in-ughelli\/","title":{"rendered":"TCN installs 150MVA transformer in Ughelli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Wednesday said it had successfully installed and energised a new 150 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) 330\/132\/33kV Interbus transformer (IBTR) at Delta IV Transmission Substation, Ughelli, Delta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mrs Ndidi Mbah, General Manager, Public Affairs, TCN made this known in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mbah said that the transformer was energised at about 1:09pm on Sunday and loaded at 3:19pm on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said the installation of the new transformer had restored the capacity of the substation by 132 Megawatts (MW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dConsequently, TCN is now able to evacuate\/wheel more power for Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) to offtake from the substation for onward delivery to electricity consumers in Ughelli, Warri, and its environs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dThe installation of the new transformer has restored flexibility to the substation by enabling TCN to evacuate power from Transcorp Power Ltd at both 330kV and 132kV voltage levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dThis means an increase in bulk power transmitted through the substation and improved grid stability, \u201dshe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mbah said that TCN assured Nigerians of its avowed commitment to enhancing bulk power delivery and grid reliability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said TCN also pledged that it would continue to execute projects geared towards entrenching a robust transmission grid as catalogued in its Nigerian Electricity Grid Maintenance Expansion and Rehabilitation Programme (NEGMERP).<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-46059\" data-postid=\"46059\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-46059 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on Wednesday said it had successfully installed and energised a new 150 Mega Volt Ampere (MVA) 330\/132\/33kV Interbus transformer (IBTR) at Delta IV Transmission Substation, Ughelli, Delta.
