{"id":45793,"date":"2022-10-05T02:15:38","date_gmt":"2022-10-05T02:15:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=45793"},"modified":"2022-10-05T02:15:45","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T02:15:45","slug":"dmo-announces-october-bond-offers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/dmo-announces-october-bond-offers\/","title":{"rendered":"DMO announces October bond offers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Debt Management Office (DMO) on Tuesday released two Federal Government Savings Bond offers for October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a statement by the DMO, the first one is a two-year bond due in Oct. 12, 2024 at interest rate of 11.38 per cent per annum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second offer is a three-year bond due in Oct. 12, 2025 at interest rate of 12.38 per cent per annum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The office announced that they are offered at N1,000 per unit subject to a maximum subscription of N5,000 and in multiples of N1, 000 thereafter, subject to a maximum subscription of N50million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOpening date is Oct. 4; closing date is Oct. 7; settlement date, Oct. 12, while coupon payment dates are Jan. 12, April 12, July 12 and Oct. 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cInterest is payable quarterly and the bullet repayment (principal sum) is done on maturity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFGN Bond qualifies as securities in which trustees can invest under the Trustee Investment Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt qualifies as government securities within the meaning of Company Income Tax Act (CITA) and Personal Income Tax Act (PITA) for Tax Exemption for Pension, amongst other Investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, and qualifies as liquid asset for liquidity ratio calculation for banks,\u2019\u2019 the DMO said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It added that they are backed by the full faith and credit of the Federal Government, and charged upon the general assets of the country.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-45793\" data-postid=\"45793\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-45793 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Debt Management Office (DMO) on Tuesday released two Federal Government Savings Bond offers for October.
