{"id":45368,"date":"2022-09-13T14:33:17","date_gmt":"2022-09-13T14:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=45368"},"modified":"2022-09-13T14:33:26","modified_gmt":"2022-09-13T14:33:26","slug":"china-invests-more-in-water-conservancy-projects-in-past-decade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/china-invests-more-in-water-conservancy-projects-in-past-decade\/","title":{"rendered":"China invests more in water conservancy projects in past decade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>China\u2019s investment in water conservancy projects during the past ten years was five times as much as that in the previous decade, a water management official said Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zhang Xiangwei, an official with the Ministry of Water Resources, said that the completed investment in water conservancy projects reached 6.66 trillion yuan (about 966 billion dollars) in the past decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investment supported a batch of key flood prevention projects in major river basins and the water management work in small and medium-sized rivers, facilitated risk elimination<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, to reinforcement of reservoirs, and funded 54 cross-basin and cross-region water diversion projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Xiangwei said that China has ramped up the construction of water conservancy infrastructure in 2022 amid efforts to stabilize the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far this year, construction of some 19,000 new water conservancy projects has kicked off nationwide, hitting a record high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that the completed investment in water conservancy projects also reached a new high in the first eight months, surging 63.9 per cent year on year to 703.6 billion yuan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Xiangwei said that the construction of water conservancy projects has created huge job opportunities, especially for rural residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that 1.91 million jobs were created in the first eight months, including 1.53 million for rural residents.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-45368\" data-postid=\"45368\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-45368 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China\u2019s investment in water conservancy projects during the past ten years was five times as much as that in the previous decade, a water management official said Tuesday.
