{"id":44557,"date":"2022-08-15T22:37:39","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T22:37:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=44557"},"modified":"2022-08-15T22:37:44","modified_gmt":"2022-08-15T22:37:44","slug":"south-koreas-auto-export-hits-record-high-in-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/south-koreas-auto-export-hits-record-high-in-july\/","title":{"rendered":"South Korea\u2019s auto export hits record high in July"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Korea\u2019s automotive export hit a record monthly high in July on solid demand for eco-friendly vehicles, government data showed Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The country\u2019s car shipment soared 25.3 per cent from a year earlier to 5.14 billion dollars in July, surpassing five billion dollars for the first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is according to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Export for eco-friendly vehicles spiked 50.6 per cent to reach a fresh high of 1.47 billion dollars last month, keeping an upward trend for the 19th consecutive month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The proportion of eco-friendly vehicle shipment to the total car export was 28.6 per cent in July, up 6.4 percentage points from a year earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Demand for locally-made vehicles gained in double digits from North America, the European Union and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of domestic cars exported was 223,633 in July, up 23.1 per cent from a year earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number topped 200,000 in 28 months since March 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Automotive sales in the local market retreated 3.0 per cent over the year to 143,293 units in July on weaker demand for imported vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of cars manufactured in local factories was 324,668 in July, up 9.1 per cent from a year ago.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-44557\" data-postid=\"44557\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-44557 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>South Korea\u2019s automotive export hit a record monthly high in July on solid demand for eco-friendly vehicles, government data showed Monday.
