{"id":43899,"date":"2022-07-22T02:52:10","date_gmt":"2022-07-22T02:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=43899"},"modified":"2022-07-22T02:52:16","modified_gmt":"2022-07-22T02:52:16","slug":"association-monitors-compliance-with-bakers-strike-in-edo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/association-monitors-compliance-with-bakers-strike-in-edo\/","title":{"rendered":"Association monitors compliance with Bakers\u2019 strike in Edo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Master Bakers\u2019 and Caterers Association of Nigeria (AMVCN), Edo chapter, has commenced the monitoring of its members\u2019 compliance with the association\u2019s nationwide industrial action which began Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Benjamin Agbonze, the chairman, Edo chapter said in Benin that different teams have been mobilised to ensure that no member of the association in the state work during the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe withdrawal of service has started but we are still selling the loaves of bread that were baked yesterday outside our bakeries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe bakeries are locked and no work will be done today, but from tomorrow there will be no sales and no work,\u201d Agbonze said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said the state executive of the chapter had started receiving feedback from the monitoring team about compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018We have gotten information about a bakery at Siluko Road in Benin and we want to comfirm the situation before taking the necessary action.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the association will ensure that people from neighbouring states do not&nbsp; sell bread in the state during the strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The National body of the association directed its chapters and units to embark on a one week withdrawal of services over unfavourable working conditions.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-43899\" data-postid=\"43899\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-43899 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Master Bakers\u2019 and Caterers Association of Nigeria (AMVCN), Edo chapter, has commenced the monitoring of its members\u2019 compliance with the association\u2019s nationwide industrial action which began Wednesday.
