{"id":43891,"date":"2022-07-22T02:43:14","date_gmt":"2022-07-22T02:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=43891"},"modified":"2022-07-22T02:43:20","modified_gmt":"2022-07-22T02:43:20","slug":"firm-partners-with-petroleum-products-transporters-on-trucks-conversion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/firm-partners-with-petroleum-products-transporters-on-trucks-conversion\/","title":{"rendered":"Firm partners with petroleum products transporters on trucks conversion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Gas Analytics and Solutions Ltd., will collaborate with the Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products (ADITOP) in converting&nbsp; trucks from using diesel to natural gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its Managing Director, Mr Briam Amom, made the disclosure at a meeting with ADITOP members on Wednesday in Kano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amom said the conversion would assist to reduce cost of transporting petroleum products to different parts of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the natural gas is more cleaner and cheaper compared to diesel, and is being produced 100 per cent in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He pointed out that the measure would further reduce high rate of bridging claims which the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) pay to transporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The managing director noted that the conversion would cost between N6 and N10 million per truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ADITOP President, Alhaji Lawal Muhammad-Danzaki, said that was a welcomed development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He directed their consultant to liaised with the firm with a view to formalising agreements on the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On his part, the ADITOP Consultant, Dr Maurice Ibe, said that the association would discuss extensively on the matter after which, the duo would sign an assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ibe also said that the association would continue to call on NMDPRA to settle members bridging claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that would enable them transport petroleum products to different parts of the country efficiently.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-43891\" data-postid=\"43891\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-43891 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Gas Analytics and Solutions Ltd., will collaborate with the Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products (ADITOP) in converting&nbsp; trucks from using diesel to natural gas.
