{"id":41725,"date":"2022-04-05T14:29:34","date_gmt":"2022-04-05T14:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=41725"},"modified":"2022-04-05T14:29:40","modified_gmt":"2022-04-05T14:29:40","slug":"dmo-releases-nigerias-n720bn-borrowing-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/dmo-releases-nigerias-n720bn-borrowing-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"DMO releases Nigeria\u2019s N720bn borrowing plan &nbsp;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Debt Management Office (DMO) has released schedule of local borrowings of about N720billion by the Federal Government for the second quarter. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The schedule is contained in the DMO\u2019s \u201cFGN Bonds Issuance Calendar For The Second Quarter, 2022\u2019\u2019. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The calendar shows that , on April 25, the DMO would open a new, 2032 FGN bond valued at between N70billion to N80billion, with a tenor of 10 years. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has an interest rate of 13 per cent per annum. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also on April 25 , the DMO will re-open a 2025,&nbsp;&nbsp;two-years, 11 months FGN bond valued at between N70billlion to N80billion. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has an&nbsp;&nbsp;interest rate of 13.53 per cent,&nbsp;&nbsp;with original tenor of seven years. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DMO will also re-open a 2042 FGN bond on the same date,&nbsp;&nbsp;valued at between N70billion to N80billion. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May 16 will witness the re-opening of a 2025,&nbsp;&nbsp;two years , 10 months FGN bond, valued at between N70billion to N80billion. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>it has an interest rate of 13.53 per cent&nbsp;&nbsp;per annum,&nbsp;&nbsp;with original tenor of seven years. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the same date,&nbsp;&nbsp;it will&nbsp;&nbsp;offer a new, 2032 FGN bond&nbsp;&nbsp;valued at between N70billion to N80billion. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has a tenor of&nbsp;&nbsp;nine years, 11 months, and an interest rate of&nbsp;&nbsp;13 per cent. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also on May 16, the DMO will re-open a 2042 FGN bond for subscription,&nbsp;&nbsp;valued at between N70billion to N80billion, with a tenor of 19 years,&nbsp;&nbsp;eight months. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 20, the DMO will&nbsp;&nbsp;re-open an April 2032 FGN bond, valued at between N70billion to N80billion,&nbsp;&nbsp;with 19 years, seven months tenor. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It would also re-open&nbsp;&nbsp;March, 2025 FGN bond, valued at between N70billion to N80billion, with a two years, nine months tenor. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, June 20 will will witness the re-opening of a 2042 FGN bond valued at between N70billion to N80billion. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that,&nbsp;&nbsp;going by the DMO bond issuance calendar,&nbsp;&nbsp;the country\u2019s debt stock is likely to increase by N720 billion in the second quarter of the year. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DMO had earlier revealed that the total debt stock of Nigeria as at December, 2021 was N39.55trillion. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-41725\" data-postid=\"41725\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-41725 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Debt Management Office (DMO) has released schedule of local borrowings of about N720billion by the Federal Government for the second quarter. \u00a0 The schedule is contained in the DMO\u2019s \u201cFGN Bonds Issuance Calendar For The Second Quarter, 2022\u2019\u2019. &nbsp;
