{"id":41271,"date":"2022-03-14T22:35:57","date_gmt":"2022-03-14T22:35:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=41271"},"modified":"2022-03-14T22:36:02","modified_gmt":"2022-03-14T22:36:02","slug":"eko-ikeja-discos-confirm-system-collapse-of-national-grid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/eko-ikeja-discos-confirm-system-collapse-of-national-grid\/","title":{"rendered":"Eko, Ikeja DisCos confirm system collapse of national grid"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eko Electricity Distribution Company Limited and Ikeja Electric Plc have confirmed system collapse of the National Grid which resulted to blackout in some parts of the country on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The electricity Distribution Companies said the partial collapse of the grid occurred at 10.40 a.m and disrupted power supply within their networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDear esteemed customer, we regret to inform you of a total system collapse on the national grid at 10:40 a.m today (Monday), leading to outages across our network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are closely monitoring the situation with our Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) partners to determine the cause and a timeline for resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe sincerely apologise for the inconvenience as we will keep you updated on the situation. Thank you for your understanding,\u2019\u2019 Eko DisCo said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Mr Felix Ofulue, Head, Corporate Communications, Ikeja Electric Plc, confirmed the development in Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ofulue said: \u201cthere was a report of system collapse at about 10.40 a.m. and it was restored at 12.20 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur customers were affected but supply has now been restored.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Electricity customers have been counting their losses following the epileptic power supply to their homes and business locations.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-41271\" data-postid=\"41271\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-41271 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eko Electricity Distribution Company Limited and Ikeja Electric Plc have confirmed system collapse of the National Grid which resulted to blackout in some parts of the country on Monday.
