{"id":40841,"date":"2022-02-25T09:55:59","date_gmt":"2022-02-25T09:55:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=40841"},"modified":"2022-02-25T09:56:03","modified_gmt":"2022-02-25T09:56:03","slug":"jaiz-bank-smedan-matching-fund-initiative-to-grow-mses-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/jaiz-bank-smedan-matching-fund-initiative-to-grow-mses-begins\/","title":{"rendered":"Jaiz bank, SMEDAN Matching Fund initiative to grow MSEs begins &nbsp;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and Jaiz Bank Plc Matching Fund initiative to boost the capacity of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) has begun. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A statement issued in Abuja on Thursday the by Corporate Affairs Division of the agency, quoted the Director-General of SMEDAN, Dr Dikko Radda as saying \u201cthe institutions are determined to see the project promotes MSEs\u201d. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Radda said the financing initiative which opened its portal to the public on Feb. 22, was a promotional intervention meant to deliver credit to the agri-business sub-sector. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the initiative would enhance enterprise output, competitiveness as well as create jobs. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe disbursing entity, under the programme, shall be Jaiz Bank Plc, which is the agency\u2019s latest partner on the initiative,\u2019\u2019 Radda said. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, as previously obtained, target beneficiaries shall be labour-intensive MSEs. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese shall ideally be producing value-added, products but operators in primary agriculture and warehousing shall also be considered,\u2019\u2019 he said. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Radda called for applications from all suitably-qualified MSEs in Katsina, Kogi, Bauchi and Adamawa (i.e. current window) to apply for the programme. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SMEDAN boss also said that prospective beneficiaries, who must be registered with the agency, may apply for financing within the range of N1.2 million to N5 million. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, the financing is on business-friendly terms. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-40841\" data-postid=\"40841\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-40841 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and Jaiz Bank Plc Matching Fund initiative to boost the capacity of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) has begun. &nbsp;
