{"id":40609,"date":"2022-02-16T18:13:40","date_gmt":"2022-02-16T18:13:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=40609"},"modified":"2022-02-16T18:13:45","modified_gmt":"2022-02-16T18:13:45","slug":"twitter-adds-flutterwave-paga-as-payment-providers-to-tips-in-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/twitter-adds-flutterwave-paga-as-payment-providers-to-tips-in-nigeria\/","title":{"rendered":"Twitter adds Flutterwave, Paga as payment providers to Tips in Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twitter has announced the addition of the pan-African payment solutions Barter by Flutterwave and paga as additional payment providers to a feature on it platform called Tips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tips was a new way to monetise on Twitter and enables people on the service to send and receive funds as a token of appreciation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barter is a web and mobile app, from payments technology company by Flutterwave, that lets users send and receive money from abroad instantly, and safely, at affordable rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Flutterwave, Olugbenga Agboola stated this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agboola added that Tips feature created an avenue to reward a content creator as frequent as a Twitter user, creators, artists and businesses add immense value to my experience section on the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to be partnering with them to create a safe, fast and easy way to tip these amazing creators through Barter by Flutterwave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have the reach and abilities to enable creators from Africa to receive tips from parts of the world. I will likely be one of the biggest users of Tips, and that\u2019s because it\u2019s an awesome feature that has huge potential for the creator economy in Africa, \u201dhe said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also speaking, Tayo Oviosu, the Founder and CEO, Paga, said, \u201cOur mission at Paga is to simplify payments for individuals and businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThrough this partnership with Twitter, via Tips, we can create an effective way for creators to get paid into their Paga accounts, directly from Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs an avid Twitter user, I\u2019m thrilled about this partnership.
