{"id":40378,"date":"2022-02-08T23:02:19","date_gmt":"2022-02-08T23:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=40378"},"modified":"2022-02-08T23:02:23","modified_gmt":"2022-02-08T23:02:23","slug":"customs-deploys-37-comptrollers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/customs-deploys-37-comptrollers\/","title":{"rendered":"Customs deploys 37 comptrollers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has approved the deployment of 37 comptrollers to various Units, Departments and Commands across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by Deputy Comptroller SI Bomodi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Bomodi, the deployments were approved by the Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC) retired Col. Hameed Ali and took effect immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that the CGC charged the newly posted Comptrollers to justify the confidence reposed in them by the NCS Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also urged them to do this by bringing to bear their years of experience and training in trade facilitation and anti-smuggling activities on their new assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among those deployed are Comptroller AAS Oloyede who moves from ICT\/MOD to Tin Can Island Port Command, Comptroller SI Bomoi to FCT Command, while Comptroller Joseph Attah will assume the office of Area Controller in Kebbi Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other postings are Comptroller BA Jaiyeoba to Oyo\/Osun Command, Comptroller A Dappa-Williams to Eastern Marine Command, Compt. MA Umar Kano\/Jigawa, Compt. KC Egwuh ICT\/MOD, Compt. LM Mark Enugu\/Anambra\/Ebonyi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also redeployed are Compt. T Tachio&nbsp; CTC Kano, Compt.&nbsp; AA Umar Western Marine, Compt. M Dansakwa North Eastern Marine, Compt. AC Ayalogu T &amp; T and Compt. KD Ilesanmi will assume duty as Controller Board among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGiven the enormous expectations of government regarding revenue generation in the current year, the Comptroller General reiterated the need for all Area Controllers and Unit heads to take full charge of the affairs of their Commands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is by ensuring absolute compliance with extant fiscal policies while leveraging on the efficient management of data to optimize trade facilitation and revenue collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFurthermore, the CGC directed all officers to be extremely vigilant in protecting the lives and wellbeing of Nigerians by ensuring the full fortification of our borders against the incursion of smugglers and other cross border criminals,\u201d Bomodi said.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-40378\" data-postid=\"40378\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-40378 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has approved the deployment of 37 comptrollers to various Units, Departments and Commands across the country.
