{"id":40002,"date":"2022-01-27T03:16:49","date_gmt":"2022-01-27T03:16:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=40002"},"modified":"2022-01-27T03:16:50","modified_gmt":"2022-01-27T03:16:50","slug":"tahir-gets-top-job-as-md-of-nemsa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/tahir-gets-top-job-as-md-of-nemsa\/","title":{"rendered":"Tahir gets top job as MD of NEMSA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr .Aliyu&nbsp; Tahir&nbsp; as the&nbsp; Managing Director of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is also the&nbsp; Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement signed in Abuja on Wednesday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Power, Mr. Nebeolisa Anaka said&nbsp; the appointment took effect from December 31st 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anaka said that the appointment&nbsp; approved by the&nbsp; President is for the period of four&nbsp; years which may be renewed for one further term of another four&nbsp; years based on performance and in accordance with the Public Service Rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tahir who was before now the General Manager Technical Standard and Inspectorate Services (TS&amp;IS) in NEMSA replaces the former MD,&nbsp; Mr Peter&nbsp; Ewesor, whose second and final tenure expired on Oct, 3 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tahir has over 29 years of experience in the power Sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He joined the Ministry of Power in 1993 and rose to the position of a Deputy Director Electrical Inspectorate Services Department from where he was transferred to NEMSA as the General Manger of TS\/IS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Yobe born graduate of Electrical Engineering from the Abubakar Tafawa Belewa University served as the secretary, Presidential Task Force on power in 2011 while in ministry of power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is a fellow if the Nigeria Institute of Power Engineers, a member if the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-40002\" data-postid=\"40002\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-40002 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr .Aliyu&nbsp; Tahir&nbsp; as the&nbsp; Managing Director of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
