{"id":37803,"date":"2021-11-05T01:34:39","date_gmt":"2021-11-05T01:34:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=37803"},"modified":"2021-11-05T01:34:40","modified_gmt":"2021-11-05T01:34:40","slug":"mtn-group-to-sell-575-million-ordinary-shares-in-nigerian-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/mtn-group-to-sell-575-million-ordinary-shares-in-nigerian-business\/","title":{"rendered":"MTN Group to sell 575 million ordinary shares in Nigerian business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MTN Group has announced plans to sell 575 million shares in MTN Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is contained in a notice signed by the Company Secretary, Mrs Uto Ukpanah on Thursday in Lagos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement said the public offer would be by way of book build to institutional investors and fixed prices to retail investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday we announce our intention to proceed with a public offer for sale of up to 575 million shares in MTN Nigeria, by way of a book build to institutional investors and fixed price to retail investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe offer is anticipated to open in November 2021 with a book build to institutional investors, after which a fixed price is expected to be announced for retail investors also in November 2021,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It added that the offer would close in December 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is the first step in MTN Group previously communicated statement of intent to sell down approximately 14 per cent of its current shareholding in MTN Nigeria,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The notice also said that further information about the offer and ways to subscribe would be provided in due course.<\/p>\n\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-37803\" data-postid=\"37803\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-37803 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MTN Group has announced plans to sell 575 million shares in MTN Nigeria.
