{"id":32828,"date":"2021-08-24T13:54:21","date_gmt":"2021-08-24T12:54:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=32828"},"modified":"2021-10-07T00:43:39","modified_gmt":"2021-10-07T00:43:39","slug":"transcorp-appoints-oliver-andrews-as-non-executive-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/transcorp-appoints-oliver-andrews-as-non-executive-director\/","title":{"rendered":"Transcorp appoints Oliver Andrews as non-Executive Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Board of Directors,\u00a0\u00a0Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp) Plc,\u00a0\u00a0has formally announced appointment of Mr Oliver Andrews,\u00a0\u00a0as an Independent Non-Executive Director,\u00a0\u00a0from Aug. 23.<br \/>\nThis is contained in a notice dated August 23, signed by\u00a0\u00a0Mrs Kofo Olokun-Olawoyin, posted on the website of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) as a formal notice to the investing public on Tuesday in Lagos.<br \/>\nThe notice explained that the appointment, was in pursuant to the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act and Article 31 of the Articles of Association of Transcorp.<br \/>\nAccording to the notice, Andrews has over 35 years\u2019 experience in infrastructure development, investing, public-private partnerships and strategic advisory work,\u00a0\u00a0such as advising and partnering with governments, regional, international corporations and development finance institutions.<br \/>\nThe notice read in part: \u201cDuring his career, in differing senior roles, he has overseen the investment of approximately,\u00a0\u00a010 billion dollars\u00a0\u00a0and originated 100 billion dollars\u00a0\u00a0of infrastructure deals across the African continent,\u00a0\u00a0on behalf of investee institutions.<br \/>\n\u201cMr Andrews was formerly Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer,\u00a0\u00a0at the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC),\u00a0\u00a0one of the biggest investors in infrastructure solutions in Africa, where he oversaw the growth of assets under management,\u00a0\u00a0from one\u00a0\u00a0billion dollars to over 8.4 billion dollars, including significant investments in the energy and natural resources sector.<br \/>\n\u201cIn addition, Andrews pioneered the project development asset class at AFC and led strategic formulation and business development, portfolio management and execution of investments.<br \/>\n\u201cHe previously served as CEO of TCI Infrastructure and the Gambia Ports Authority,\u201d it added.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-32828\" data-postid=\"32828\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-32828 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Board of Directors,\u00a0\u00a0Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp) Plc,\u00a0\u00a0has formally announced appointment of Mr Oliver Andrews,\u00a0\u00a0as an Independent Non-Executive Director,\u00a0\u00a0from Aug. 23.
