{"id":31874,"date":"2021-07-05T19:08:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-05T18:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=31874"},"modified":"2021-10-07T00:43:18","modified_gmt":"2021-10-07T00:43:18","slug":"nigeria-offers-bonds-for-subscription-at-n1000-per-unit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/nigeria-offers-bonds-for-subscription-at-n1000-per-unit\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria offers bonds for subscription at N1,000 per unit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nigeria\u2019s Debt Management Office (DMO) on Monday offered for subscription more Federal Government bonds at N1000 per unit.<br \/>\nAccording to information in its official website, DMO announced that the bonds were two-year FGN Savings Bond due in July 14, 2023 with interest rate of 8. 35 per cent per annum.<br \/>\nThere is also a three-Year FGN Savings Bond due in July 14, 2024, at 9.35 per cent interest rate per annum.<br \/>\nOpening date for subscription is July 5, closing date is July 9, while Coupon Payment Dates are July 14, October 14, January 14, April 14, July 14.<br \/>\nThe offer comes at N1,000 per unit subject to a minimum subscription of N5,000 and in multiples of N1000 thereafter, subject to a maximum subscription of N50 million.<br \/>\nThe office assured that the bonds qualify as securities in which trustees can invest under the Trustee Investment Act.<br \/>\n\u201cThey qualify as Government securities within the meaning of Company Income Tax Act (CITA) and Personal Income Tax Act (PITA) for Tax Exemption for Pension Funds, among other investors.<br \/>\n\u201cThey are listed on The Nigerian Stock Exchange and qualify as a liquid asset for liquidity ratio calculation for banks,\u201d it stated.<br \/>\nIt added that they are backed by the full faith and credit of the Federal Government and charged upon the general assets of the country.<\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-31874\" data-postid=\"31874\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-31874 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nigeria\u2019s Debt Management Office (DMO) on Monday offered for subscription more Federal Government bonds at N1000 per unit.
