\nOil prices rose on Monday as U.S. markets tightened just weeks ahead of Washington\u2019s plan to impose new sanctions against Iran.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nBrent crude futures were at 79.84 dollars per barrel .<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nU.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose to 71.52 dollars a barrel.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nSome oil pricing interested stakeholders predict oil to rise to 100 dollars in January 2019.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe market was \u201cincreasingly concerned about dwindling (U.S.) inventories,\u201d ANZ bank said on Monday.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nU.S. commercial crude oil inventories C-STK-T-EIA are at their lowest level since early 2015.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nWhile output C-OUT-T-EIA remains around
\nthe record of 11 million barrels per day (bpd), recent subdued U.S.
\ndrilling activity points towards a slowdown.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe tightening U.S. market came ahead of
\nsanctions that Washington plans to implement against Iran\u2019s petroleum
\nexports from early November.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nMany analysts expect the sanctions to result in a drop of more than one million bpd of crude exports.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nThe Middle East dominated Organization of
\n the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), of which Iran is a member, as
\n well as top producer Russia, are discussing raising output by 500,000
\nbpd to counter falling supply from Iran, although
\n the discussions are not finalised.<\/u><\/u><\/div>\n
