{"id":28221,"date":"2021-02-17T18:15:40","date_gmt":"2021-02-17T17:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=28221"},"modified":"2021-10-07T00:24:12","modified_gmt":"2021-10-07T00:24:12","slug":"partial-system-collapse-hits-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/partial-system-collapse-hits-lagos\/","title":{"rendered":"Partial system collapse hits Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Tanko Mohammed<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Eko Electricity Distribution Company Limited and Ikeja Electric Plc have confirmed the partial system collapse, which left some parts of their coverage areas in darkness for hours on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The DisCos in separate statements released on their Official Twitter accounts, said the partial collapse of the grid occurred at about 1.58p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Ikeja Electric in its statement said: \u201cDear Customer, this is to inform you that we experienced a system collapse at 13:58hrs (1.58p.m) today and this affected all customers on the IE network.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cHowever, we are pleased to confirm that supply has been restored to Alimosho, Ogba and Alausa transmission stations at 14:47hrs (2.47p.m).<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The DisCo added that gradual restoration to other areas was ongoing and thanked its customers for their understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Similarly, EKEDC said the partial system collapse of the grid affected most areas within its network.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are gathering updates on the situation and will provide them as available.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor now, please be assured that all stakeholders are working hard to make sure this is resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,\u201d the DisCo added.<\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-28221\" data-postid=\"28221\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-28221 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Tanko Mohammed &nbsp;Eko Electricity Distribution Company Limited and Ikeja Electric Plc have confirmed the partial system collapse, which left some parts of their coverage areas in darkness for hours on Wednesday.
