{"id":27033,"date":"2020-12-19T15:12:27","date_gmt":"2020-12-19T14:12:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=27033"},"modified":"2021-10-07T00:23:47","modified_gmt":"2021-10-07T00:23:47","slug":"smedan-advises-women-using-cooperative-societies-to-access-incentives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/smedan-advises-women-using-cooperative-societies-to-access-incentives\/","title":{"rendered":"SMEDAN advises women using cooperative societies to access incentives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By Moses Uwagbale<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria in Ekiti State, on Saturday charged women to team together and form cooperatives so as to ensure successes in their businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Mr Tunde Oloyede, Assistant Director, Agric-Business Development and Extension, gave the advice at the end of a one-day training for \u201cWomen in Self-Empowerment\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The training, which held at Ikere-Ekiti in Ikere Local Government Area of the state aimed at expanding businesses of women in agro-allied industries.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Oloyede told the participants that by forming cooperatives, they had better chances to access loans and grants for agricultural development from the Federal Government.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cI must commend your patience and cooperation during the first phase of the programme. As we prepare for the vocational aspect, I urge you to form yourselves into formidable cooperative societies.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cEnsure team work among yourselves in order to contribute your quota to the development of our dear country.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cI assure you that very soon, the Federal Government will roll out assistance to your various cooperative societies for the benefit of members,\u2019\u2019 Oloyede said.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>A beneficiary of the training, Mrs Monisola Olanipekun, who spoke on behalf of the others, thanked the government for the gesture.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Olanipekun said with the training, participants had been exposed to different skills and knowledge in growing their own businesses.<\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-27033\" data-postid=\"27033\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-27033 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Moses Uwagbale Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria in Ekiti State, on Saturday charged women to team together and form cooperatives so as to ensure successes in their businesses.
