{"id":26852,"date":"2020-12-13T14:16:22","date_gmt":"2020-12-13T13:16:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=26852"},"modified":"2020-12-13T14:16:22","modified_gmt":"2020-12-13T13:16:22","slug":"air-peace-wins-aviation-year-award-of-businessday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/air-peace-wins-aviation-year-award-of-businessday\/","title":{"rendered":"Air Peace wins aviation year award of BusinessDay"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Anthony Areh<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Air Peace has clinched the Aviation Company of the Year Award at the prestigious Nigerian Business Leadership Awards (NBLA) 2020 organised by BusinessDay Newspaper.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The airline\u2019s Spokesman, Stanley Olisa, said in a statement in Lagos on Sunday that Air Peace won the award based on its reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Olisa said the Chairman\/CEO, Mr Allen Onyema, also bagged the `Most Admired CEO of the Year\u2019 under the Global Awards Category of the NBLA.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Receiving the awards on behalf of Onyema, the Ground Operations Manager, Mr Ayodeji Adeyemi, expressed gratitude to the organisers for finding Air Peace and its CEO worthy of recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>He emphasised that Air Peace would continue to ply Nigerian skies to greater heights by continually demonstrating excellence in the provision of best in-flight services.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Adeyemi said that Onyema\u2019s visionary leadership and commitment to Nigeria\u2019s development was not in doubt as he had exemplified these qualities on different occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>According to the organisers of the awards, the decision to nominate Air Peace for the \u201cAviation Company of the Year\u2019\u2019 award was informed by the airline\u2019s track record as Nigeria\u2019s leading aviation company.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cAir Peace has significantly contributed to shaping the future of the Nigerian aviation industry by driving excellent service delivery and supporting local capacity building.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The organisers also said that Onyema, an astute aviator, got the \u2018Most Admired CEO of the Year\u2019 award because he had won the admiration and affection of millions of Nigerians because of his sustained commitment to national development.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe \u2018Most Admired CEO of the Year\u2019 award is a testament of Onyema\u2019s image as the ideal model of a business leader,\u2019\u2019 it said.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>The NBLA is held annually to identify and celebrate the best performing business leaders and businesses in Nigeria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Anthony Areh Air Peace has clinched the Aviation Company of the Year Award at the prestigious Nigerian Business Leadership Awards (NBLA) 2020 organised by BusinessDay Newspaper.
