{"id":26239,"date":"2020-11-10T18:49:55","date_gmt":"2020-11-10T17:49:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/?p=26239"},"modified":"2020-11-10T18:49:55","modified_gmt":"2020-11-10T17:49:55","slug":"tcn-to-re-conductor-sokoto-brrnin-kebbi-single-circuit-132kv-transmission-line","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thefreezonechannel.com\/old\/tcn-to-re-conductor-sokoto-brrnin-kebbi-single-circuit-132kv-transmission-line\/","title":{"rendered":"TCN to re-conductor Sokoto-Brrnin Kebbi single circuit 132KV transmission line"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>By Chris Ndibe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<p>The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has reported that it is set to re-conductor the overloaded Sokoto \u2013 Birnin Kebbi 132 Kilo Volt (kV) Single Circuit Transmission Line with high capacity transmission cable.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Mrs Ndidi Mbah,&nbsp; TCN\u2019s&nbsp; General Manager,&nbsp; Public Affairs made this known in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Mbah said that the reconductoring of the line&nbsp; would enable TCN increase bulk power transmission to distribution load centres&nbsp; in Sokoto State and environs.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>According to her,&nbsp; the new line when completed, would enable the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company deliver more electricity to its customers in Sokoto axis, to solve the prevalent poor power supply situation in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the years, the Sokoto \u2013 Birnin Kebbi 132kV transmission line, had become overloaded due to massive increase in human population and attendant socio-economic development in the area<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe re-conductoring work would rectify the current low voltage and consequent poor power situation so that electricity consumers can enjoy more stable and quality power supply.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>\u201cTCN will commence the reconductoring work on the 130 Kilometers Sokoto \u2013 Birnin Kebbi Single Circuit Transmission line this week and would complete the project by the third week of December, 2020, \u201cshe said.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Mbah said that o ameliorate the effect of scheduled outages on electricity customers during the period, TCN will work from 8am to 5pm daily.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>She said that during this time there would be no supply of electricity to the affected areas adding that electricity supply would however be restored daily, from 6pm to 8am.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>She said TCN apologises for every inconvenience and solicit the support and understanding of the state governor and good people of Sokoto State as well as the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Chris Ndibe The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has reported that it is set to re-conductor the overloaded Sokoto \u2013 Birnin Kebbi 132 Kilo Volt (kV) Single Circuit Transmission Line with high capacity transmission cable.
