text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\nThe Central Line is a London Underground metro line that runs through central London, serving 49 stations over 74 km.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\nUnion leaders claim there is a \u201cbreakdown<br \/>\n of industrial relations\u2019\u2019 in a long-running dispute with London<br \/>\nUnderground (LU) and accused Tube bosses of imposing \u201cunsafe\u2019\u2019 working<br \/>\npractices.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cIndustrial action is always the last<br \/>\nresort but, given the intransigence of management on a whole range of<br \/>\nissues affecting our members, we have, reluctantly, decided this is our<br \/>\nonly course of action.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cThe strike on the Central Line is the<br \/>\nresult of management\u2019s failure to deal with the issues our reps have<br \/>\nraised regarding service control problems affecting our members.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cAbuse of the attendance at work<br \/>\nprocedure, breach of agreements regarding managers driving trains and<br \/>\nabuse of the case conference procedure are other grievances of the<br \/>\nworkers.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n\u201cHarsh and unfair use of the disciplinary<br \/>\n procedure and imposition of new and unsafe \u2018flash and dash\u2019 working<br \/>\npractices,\u2019\u2019 ASLEF\u2019s Underground organiser said.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">\nDrivers belonging to the rival RMT<br \/>\n(National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers) union could<br \/>\nrefuse to cross picket lines, increasing the risk of no service over all<br \/>\n or large parts of the line.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt;
