Katsina’s Economic Zone to be completed 2021

The Katsina State has said that its Special Economic Zone being put in place will be completed in 2021, as part of measures to boost economic activities and attract investors into the state.
The Director-General, Katsina State Investment Promotion Agency (KIPA), Alhaji Ibrahim Tukur-Jikamshi disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the activities of the agency.
He said that the park, which covers 800 hectares of land, is sited on Katsina-Jibia road, in Katsina metropolis and has high quality infrastructure.
Tukur-Jikamshi said that the park would help to attract more investors, create jobs and make the state industrialised.
According to him, the state government will provide energy from multiple sources in the park.
He said that the government would also facilitate setting up of a Tractor Assembly Plant and Agricultural Implement Plant at the park.
Tukur-Jikamshi said that works at the site had reached over 80 per cent.
