Creative industry for revival after COVID-19

As one of the most affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the creative industry has been selected to be revived after the crisis.
The Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Lai Mohammed, made the pledge at the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 daily press briefing on Thursday in Abuja.
According to him, the federal government is not oblivion of the fact that the creative industry is the most hit by COVID-19 and we are already working on how the industry can be revived.
He said that a list of committee for COVID-19 pandemic response that would bring back the industry post COVID-19 was in the offing.
Mohammed said that the federal government was confident that the creative industry would resurrect, stressing that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had set creative industry financing, which was for that purpose.
He also said that the digital switch over would be a panacea to the creative industry as it was capable of creating thousands of jobs in the country.
According to him, I am not under any illusion that it is going to be very easy but if we work with stakeholders, we will be able to achieve result.
He said the COVID-19 pandemic had affected all sectors of the economy and the creative industry was no exception, stressing that the government would do what was necessary to bring back the industry.
