500 firms to showcase products in Enugu fair

No fewer than 500 entrepreneurs will on Nov. 20 showcase their products in a trade fair organised by the Potters Wheel Foundation in Enugu.

The Potters Wheel Foundation is a Non-Governmental, Community Based Humanitarian Organisation that offers free vocational and entrepreneurial training to youths and women in Nigeria as an antidote to the massive Unemployment, Crime and Insecurity in the country.

Potters Wheel Foundation which began its operation in 2020 in Enugu had trained over 2,500 youths and women on various skills at different locations in the State through the State Ministry of Youths and Sports who were now entrepreneurs themselves.

Mr. Godson Onuzulike, the President of the foundation, said on Sunday in Enugu that the foundation would use the trade fair to marks her first anniversary and commissioning at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

According to him, the trade fair and exhibition will be based on made in Nigeria confectioneries, natural beverages, hygienic, allied and skin care products, from over 500 of of trainees who has benefitted from their various trainings.

He however, said they had rolled out some chains of activities to mark the day which includes Humanitarian Service Award as well as Entrepreneurial Talk Show.

“This will be given to individuals and organisations that has helped us to run this vision in the last one.

“Therefore, we are using this opportunity to invite the general public, companies, clubs, organisations and government agencies to patronise and support the beneficiaries.

“These trainees have decided to join those who make things happen rather than watch things happen.

“We also solicit for support in providing start up materials for them that have not started practicing what they were taught because of financial limitations.

Onuzulike added that trainees had participated on how to make Cakes, Meat Pie and other Pie Families, Doughnut, Samosa, Spring Roll, Chin-Chin, Peanut, Scotch Egg, Bread, Cookies, Alcohol Based Hand Sanitizers, Antibacterial Hand wash, Car Wash and Liquid Soap.

Others are body wash, tile wash, toilet wash, insecticide, rodenticide, carrot oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, laundry tablet soap, bleach, detergent, antiseptics, disinfectants, odour control, organic soap, organic cream and many others.
