Kaduna Trade Fair to promote domestic production – KADCCIMA

The Kaduna Chambers of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (KADCIMA), says its 42nd International  Trade Fair scheduled to begin on May 28, will focus on the promotion of domestic production.

Its Acting President, Mr Suleman Aliyu made the announcement at a news conference in Kaduna on Tuesday.

Aliyu explained that KADCCIMA was forced to rescheduled the fair from its traditional February date due to the resurgence of the second wave of COVID-19

He said that all preparations have been concluded for the event, with the theme, “Promoting Domestic Production to mitigate the current Economic Challenges”.

He said that the theme was deliberately chosen in view of the current economic reality and the need to join forces and take the country out of the current negative economic situation.

He said that companies from countries like India, Bangladesh, Morocco, Niger Republic have signified keen interest to participate.

“Manufacturers, producers, fabricators, distributors, and marketers within and outside the country have also indicted interest to attend the fair.

“Also expected at the fair are policy makers, federal and state ministries of commerce, National Investment Promotion Council, Trade and Investment Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigerian Missions Abroad and foreign missions in Nigeria.

“Other are Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, various chambers of commerce across the country and other stakeholders and partners promoting trade fair in the country,” he said.

The acting president said that the fair would be declared open on Saturday May 29, and appealed to journalists to give the trade fair all the necessary coverage and publicity.
