South African retail sales rose 2.4% year-on-year in June, following a revised 2.3 per cent increase in May, Statistics South Africa said on Wednesday.
The statistics body said on Wednesday in Johannesburg on a month-on-month basis, sales were up 0.3 per cent.
It said that on quarterly basis, it rose 2.4 per cent in the three months to the end of June, compared with the same period last year.
